Boys.

I could have sworn I heard a "broom, broom" out of James last night. He loves anything with wheels. It's really cute.

And in other news, there was a double homicide yesterday in St Johns. Two SRP contract workers were found dead two houses down from my co-workers parents house. One of the guys that was killed was actually friends with my co-worker.

Scary and sad.

I have heard that it probably had something do with work. St Johns is a busy place now with the upcoming overhaul and emissions control project at Coronado Generating Station.

oh, I'm sure it was a "broom, broom" that you heard. I thought I was going crazy with Ben because whenever I heard it, I thought: No, he's not saying ANYTHING - and anyway, who taught him "broom broom." Nope, that's what he was saying. It's just something they all come with, I think.

What happened in St. Johns sounds like scary stuff. After the adult session of stake conference last weekend we stopped by my parents' house. Apparently there was a guy wanted by the cops hiding in the back yard in the house diagonally across from them... it took an attack from a police dog to get him to come out. (I didn't know they actually trained the canine units to do that!) Anyway, when we got there the guy was being loaded into an ambulance since a huge chunk of flesh was missing from his leg. There were only 5 cop cars, a fire truck, and an ambulance left when we got there "after" all the excitement had died down. Let's just say I'm kinda glad I don't live there anymore.

What is also sad is that an 8 year old killed them. I can't believe it.

Yeah - an 8 year old. I'm really wondering how/why an 8 year old did this? Was he put up to it? Was he reacting to something? It is crazy - I did think of you Bianca when I heard it was in St. John's.

(So somebody tell me why we're allowed to buy lethal weapons again? I think 'our right to bear arms' has gone way beyond that - unnecessarily and dangerously ... just my personal opinion.)
