She's getting really good at the "stank face." Really Good.So far this summer we have been staying cool by stripping down when we get home. The house is at a balmy 83 degF and I just can't find it in me to turn it down until after 8pm (SRP's time of use plan). In the summer months it's a HUGE difference. At 8pm on the dot we crank the AC down to 75 degF or lower (shhhh! don't tell michael..). The kids are typically in diapers only. Or in the backyard nekked. I strip & hop into my workout clothes to keep me motivated to get to the gym when Mike gets home.
Back to Madison, since this post is about her:
Things she's doing
- Crab walking, knees locked... she's really fast!
- Clapping her hands
- Mimics your tone - almost like she's trying to talk with out the words
- Eating watermelon - loves the cold fleshiness against her poor little teething gums
- Stands up for split seconds at a time
- Loves to crawl over James
- Loves to be in the new bike trailer we just got
- Loves to put her legs all over James in the bike trailer - she's already picking on him
- Brawls with James on our bed in the morning waking us up
- Still a tough cookie, like her mamma!
- Goldfish don't stand a chance in her presence
- Is starting to reject baby food - she wants the real deal!
- If she's sees me from afar she will cry until I hold her - such a mamma's girl.
- Loves to pick the teeniest, tiniest crumbs from off the floor
- Has discovered dog food --- and James actually likes to eat it --- I find both of them in the laundry room eating dog food!
- Is extremely flexible, will go spread eagle when you put her down on the floor
- Will cry if a toy is taken away from her
- Will cry to get your attention
- Responds to her name being called
