Master of the Tricycle

Michael and I recently bought mountain bikes. As we searched high and low for the perfect bike James always found one too - one with training wheels that is... a little 12 incher. And he would cry and throw a fit every time we would leave the store without his new found bike.

So I made a deal with him. One so unimagineable. "James, you have a tricycle at home that you can't even ride yet. If you can learn how to ride it, then maybe we will get you a big boy bicycle," is what I said in the most loving, tantrum tolerating parent I could be.

It seemed to work. He sniffled up his nose and swalled back tears as we left empty handed.

Well it wasn't about 3 days later that he mastered the tricycle.
And he loves to ride it.

Now there's no way he could have comprehended the deal I made him. So my question is, do I keep my end of the deal now?

of course you keep it - in another year or two when he's ready. haha

A deal is a deal sister! Let him enjoy his tricycle for a few more months and surprise him with his bike in decemeber; as a birthday/christmas gift :)
