Busy Little Bees Part I

This is long due. Here's what we've (Mike doing the hard labor of course) been doing while I was on maternity leave.
Circa 2006 ish

After Stucco and Paint. Circa 2009.

Summer 2011 - the landscaping crew

My brother Bj - he's a one man crew

 Losing shade - Aug 2011

New Xeriscape - notice the gate and fence is further back

Xeriscape complete with 1/4 minus crushed granite walking path. New fence was built flush with house and new gate installed. We now have an area to hide the garbage, recycle, and green cans from the front and backyard.

It took us about 2 weeks. We installed two drip lines; one for cacti and one for the other desert plants. The tree is a thornless Chilean Mesquite. We also re-screened the windows with the shade screen fabric and had the roof replaced. Can you believe we still have the same size yard to do on the other side of the house? This was the front, side yard. Ha! That's what we get for buying a house on a turn. The front yard is twice as large as the backyard. I hope we can get that finished by the end of this year. But with other projects still going we will just have to see!
