Halloween; one night, an entire weekend of hype

It seems every year, Halloween gets bigger and bigger.

There are lights, fog machines, talking creatures, motion sensored monsters.... you name it. People are going big. It's really insane.

Every year our HOA hosts Howlin' Good Halloween at the park by our house on a Friday before Halloween. We took the kids this year and they got to play in the bounce house, get balloons, trick or treat on the Pumpkin Walk, eat pizza (Pizza Pit), and we left before it started, but there was also an outdoor movie.

Saturday night was low-key and allowed me time to finish whipping up the kids' coordinating costumes that I started sewing Friday. I just had to, it was the cutest idea I ever had. With three kids how could I not?!?

It was an Angry Birds Halloween!

In their Halloween endoskeletons.

I had time Sunday to make hats. They just make it for me. I'm so glad I decided to make them.

James was so excited when I finished the costumes. But he only wore it for an hour on Halloween night then my arm became a hanger. But he wears his costume frequently and pretends to play Angry Birds in real life.

Angry Birds Family, Halloween 2011. Michael is also wearing an Angry Birds T-shirt.

I had such a FUN time this year. The kids practiced saying "trick-or-treat" all month but zipped their lips Halloween night. Of course! James was being his typical grumpy self. And Madison was the cutest little piggy ever! They enjoyed the cake walk, eating candy until it came out of their eyeballs, and loved all the Halloween decorations.

Wow! Those look amazing-great job.

I'm clueless when it comes to angry birds but those are the best angry birds I've ever seen!
