CLETUS?!?

I figured it was time to talk about the naming of our little baby...
Most of you know him as little "baby james" and some of you know him as little "cletus"....
If you were with us from the very beginning you would know that he started out as "cletus" for lack of any sort of name....
All the names I liked were veto'd by Michael....
Then it just became a joke....
When people would ask us his name, in all seriousness (and with a straight face).....
Mike would say "Cletus West"...
*GASP*
The look of horror would come across most faces....
They would look at Michael and then look at me to say, "No we are joking"....
But c'mon ... you know me... ;p
So with very sincere words, I would say "Cletus Willis West"....
If I had a dollar for every reaction after that, I'd have a nice college fund started...
I'm sure most people thought that I was really throwing out the name and secretly keeping his real name all to myself....
In all honesty, I had no idea what to name the poor little guy...
At my baby shower at work I kind of threw out the name "James Robert"....
Then Don (my witty co-worker) piped in, "So he'll be Jim-Bob!"...
I just about died....
Here I thought I had come up with a stellar name....
Well I guess it's better than Cletus...
And Michael was no help with naming...
And we had to give the hospital a name before we left...
So Jim-Bob it was...
I do justify it with the fact that he was named after his grandfather and great-grandfather...
And that's the story of little baby james
