Or the long short list. In no order.
1. Figure out how to use my new touch phone. It's like the iphone and has a slew of widgets.
2. Lose 5 more lbs.
3. Read another book. Finally done with all the Twilight books! My house is clean again!
4. Take photos of James and learn to use the camera like a pro (aka Jana).
5. Read my photoshop cs3 book.
6. Edit in photoshop cs3.
7. Get Michael to buy-in to landscaping the backyard in the spring.
8. Save buco dinero to impress Michael so we can landscape in the spring.
9. Paint the kitchen cabinets.
10. Pick a new paint color for the kitchen.
11. Finish my half started nursing covers.
12. Move 2nd fridge from family room to garage.
13. Clean and organize garage.
14. Buy new sheets for the bedroom.
15. Clean out ALL the closets. De-clutter.
Yikes, it seems that my list keeps getting longer and longer! Baby steps, baby steps.
On another note. I finally got James to drink cow's milk. HURRAY! Granted I have to make it the strawberry Nesquick way, but still... he's drinking milk! We tried chocolate and he wasn't sold. Knowing he's Michael's child I just knew strawberry would do it and surprise, surprise. He loves it. Can't blame him, it tastes like a strawberry milkshake. I have to admit I take swigs of it every now and then. What? It's good! (Like you've never done that before.)
My new rotation is in Tempe Line Maintenance Engineering. It's less than 10 minutes away. LOVE THAT. My boss is really cool. That's almost an understatement. But you know how there are just some bosses that get it? Well she gets it. Last week I was in St Johns M-W to finish up the scrubber stuff. I stayed with a friend and had so much fun. I was soooooooo busy. It's a shame. I love that kind of work. *big sigh* I was so busy I hardly even had time to miss my family. Sounds bad but actually construction is kind of crazy that way. Busy busy busy.
So anyway, James and I and some friends went hiking Sat. It was almost 2x longer than normal and my legs are so sore; in places I've never felt sore before. It's now a good sore. 5 more lbs. Speaking of.... I want to hike down into the Grand Canyon (Havasupai) in a few months. Anyone have any advice? We are going to take James and backpack it.

Not to shoot down your hopes and dreams but...We took Grace down there when she was a week shy of 1 yr. old. She did fabulous, but I wouldn't take a little kid down again. First, I always had anxiety because she couldn't swim. It made me so nervous to walk over the wet rocks and what-not. (Plus, someone always had to stay with her, so they were missing out on the swimming fun, which is the main reason to go)
But if you do decide to take James, send your stuff down on a horse. Alan and I carried all of our gear and Grace. Let me tell you, I've never hurt so bad in my life (and I've done the hike 4 other times). No matter how nice the kid pack is, they are not comfortable after carrying a kid for 4+ hours.
But if you have questions, let me know.
We want to do that hike too, but I can see what Marie is saying. Didn't it all get flooded out and partially destroyed in the last year? (Am I exagerating that in my memory?)
A touch phone! Wow. You must be busy playing with that toy.
Good luck with the ambitious list. If you need any color picking help, let me know - I'm not sure my ideas were too pleasing for you last time, so no obligations :)
But that's good you're making progress on the garage & moving the fridge!
You might want to check to see if they've opened back up after the flooding last summer... We were all geared up to go again and then everything just kinda washed away...
Way to go on your budgeting! I hope that you eventually get to get everything on your list :D
Are you talking about the falls? It will probably be pretty cold. I went in June and it got pretty nippy at night... I also agree on putting your stuff on mules... that's a great way to go if you have to carry him :D
Otherwise, I can babysit and you guys can have a romantic campout :D
Take me! Take me!
