Where was I?
Oh, so here's some pix for you:
It began two or three weeks ago...
I just have to tell you this story about James today. We went to the fabric store this morning to get the warm fuzzy blanket material for the crib sheet. You know the one that looks like dots. And James has a blue one like that, that he LOVES. So we were at the aisle where there had to have been at least 10 bolts of this stuff. I started to unravel the red bolt and James ran his hand up and down it and kept saying, "night-night." Then when I wrapped it back up and put it in the cart, he was so upset with me and threw a huge fit. Like uncontrollable crying, like I was beating him. It was kind of embarrasing. As of late, James just wants to carry around his "night-night" blanket. We went to the grocery store and it was at least 110degF and he had to get in the car with it, carry it into the store, and back in his lap on the way home. I felt so bad that he couldn't understand that the fabric wasn't his blanket. When the lady started cutting the fabric, he seemed really confused. It was so cute. I find myself wondering all the time what he is thinking now. Wouldn't you be curious to know what your tot is thinking?
His new words are "shoes" (with an "S"), "it's Hot -silent T" (because I always say that to him around the stove, his food, or the metal in his car seat), "Owe" (when he hurts himself), and if you ask him to show you his "stink face" he will scrunch up his face, purse his lips, and wrinkle his nose. It's hilarious.
And James went #2 in the potty today. I tried to let him run around comando with only some shorts and he wouldn't have it. I don't think he liked the draftiness of it all because he kept grabbing at his front and look at me and say stuff - I don't know what he says half the time. I'm debating the pull up idea vs some real underwear. Not looking forward to the accidents. Any suggestions?

I wish you could teach me to sew! those are too cute! :)
As for the potty training... well, YOU have to be ready as much as him... I picked a date and then said, no matter what (or how many accidents we have) we are not going back to diapers. I found that Thomas eventually learned that pull-up are basically diapers
so if he's at the sitter or you need to go somewhere and are really worried about an accident, put on the underwear and then a pull-up that way he's still going to feel it. But really, it's easier for them if you just stick to one idea.
We finally conquered #2 by giving him a car each time he went potty (costly, but then I wasn't having to clean up poo :( )
Good luck!! :)
I agree. Pull-up seems to equal diaper in my house. Panties... I mean underwear are the way to go. In my opinion but since I haven't done the boy potty training yet I'll defer to those of greater wisdom... Jana?
You are amazing! The fabric is so cute, and you did such a good job! In a few years do you wanna make mine?! LOL
