On demand my fellow followers, here is a very special post, spotlighting..... JAMES!
But what do I write? I'm terrible for just drawing a blank every time I think, "what's so interesting about James?"
1. He's definitely all boy. Rough, tumble, rumbly James.
2. "He's like Rubber."
3. His favorite thang right now is penguins and snowmen.
4. He loves to color.
5. He will play dishes with Madison.
6. Is going to preschool! (Next week, YIKES!)
7. Still not potty trained.
8. Is getting trained on walking and not riding in a stroller.
9. Steals my iphone or dad's ipod every chance he can get.
But enough with the lists. No one wants to read a crummy list. So what's happening in his little world? Lately we have been into coloring and drawing. And he's been luvin' it. Just can not get enough. Crayons, colored pencils, marker, finger paints, etc.
The babysitters let him draw and color and one day Kristie said to me something like, "does James draw people yet? Because I think he drew a person." And like a wonderful babysitter, she saved me his drawing. See if you can spot the person. With arms. It looks more like an egg.
So inspired by toys in the nursery and at Kristie's, I bought him one of the magnetic drawing boards. This is what I see a lot of. It's like a sweet potato/onion man.
And for once, James was a great little subject during our mini photo shoot and I was able to get some really great shots of him (muttering --- for once).
This little boy loves his hats. I found this great Engineer's hat. I love, love, love that we was so cooperative on wearing everything.

We start the pumpkin carving on Saturday. I'm so excited. Halloween is my favorite holiday. Is that even right to say? I mean it's not truly a real Holiday. But in any case, it's still my favorite!
James felt he needed to show me what a strong dude he was by moving the pumpkins around.
This one just screamed, CENTER ME! So I did.
I love this action shot and the look on his face. Hilarious.
I think James is beginning to appreciate Halloween as much as I do.
I almost failed to mention. We started decorating the house last weekend with Halloween decorations. I pulled out a tarantula tealight holder and James just about flipped out. Then Michael got after me for chasing him around the house with it. I know. Mean mom.
So this little guy is definitely a momma's boy. You know how some people are like, "I can't imagine loving another child as much as I love the first one." I never thought that with Madison. I just knew that James and I would be really close. And when Madison came along, it just confirmed that. We just have a special connection. I wouldn't say I have a favorite child. I love them both equally as much. But I'm definitely more connected to James. Maybe because he was the first? Maybe because I felt he always needed special attention? I'm not sure. But the more I think about it, the more I think being close to your mom (as a boy) isn't such a bad thing. Is it?Michael is very close to his mom. I wouldn't say he's a momma's boy. But I would say that they have a special connection. That's what James and I have. He'll always be mah boy. Yep. That Jim Bob. He mah boy!
I know him the best. He's a little rascal. Multi faceted. There's so many different sides to him. Don't let him get overtired or hungry because that's when the beast comes out! A true WEST!
I showed him how to make a ghost and how to OOooooo! This is the BEST age. I love the things James is doing. Last year James made me a Spider at Jana's (other babysitter). And he just didn't have a clue. But this year.... T.H.I.S. year. Is. Gonna. Be. F.U.N.
It's only fitting to rock the skull socks with the new kicks :)

(P.S. Madison was a butt so we didn't get any good pics of her. Just overexposed, blurry blobs. I should get Mother of the Year Award for not realizing she was actually forming a horrible diaper rash. Cold = plugged nose. And her poo was not stinky = yucky diaper rash for who knows HOW long. Boo. I mean. BOO! But we're not talking about her. This post is about James.)
