8:15am – call in to another meeting, etapro, to go over outstanding issues needed for monitoring and improving heat rate (a very important plant wide goal)

8:45am – go to the break room to wash and cut strawberries for my greek yogurt (breakfast)

10am – getting through most of my emails from last night and this morning, deleting, organizing, replying, etc, pop a prenatal vitamin & Tylenol for leg aches, run to water cooler for 1st water bottle fill up

11am – print drawings, more email, order DANGER ACID signs, make phone calls, talk to co-workers

11:30am – heat up lunch (leftover ham, potatoes), open freezer to find some punk ripped a hole in the MIDDLE of a bag of ice I put in freezer that already had a hole in it at the top and left the spilled ice, clean up ice, tie bag of ice, grumble for a few minutes, eat lunch, read book – pride and prejudice

12:45pm – get back to work, spent too much time gabbing with co-workers, finish engineering package for relocating a piece of equipment

1:30pm – eyes going coo coo from sitting in the office, Mike’s calling – chat on phone for 2 mins, surf web for new maternity dress

1:45pm – dress I wanted is not on clearance anymore and is 2x as much everywhere else, back to work after 2nd water bottle fill up

2pm – fatigue setting in, tired of sending, answering, initiating emails, going to control room to talk to operators about some issues

3pm – research, research, research, fuel gas conditioning skid, fuel gas…. ??? where can I find info??? I need answers!!! Drawings, drawings, drawings, where are you fuel gas something…. What are you called…???

3:15pm – email…. FINALLY! I get a new inbox size of 1GB vs 200MB… yet hotmail gives me 2GB. What’s wrong with this picture? Quick check in PI, trending boiler feed pumps outboard motor bearing temp seems to be ok. back to fuel gas… giving up. Calling John who installed the system, prepping to butter him up – he thinks I’m pretty.

3:20pm – leave answer on John’s voicemail, whew! He’s long winded, I’d be stuck here ‘till 4pm, escaped that bullet.

3:30pm – time to go home, log out, get purse, lunch bag, phones, and keys. Peace out!

4:00pm - pick up kids, zoning out the entire way - brain shutting down

4:15pm - quick stop at Sonic for fries and ice cream, tie kids over while we make a trip to the lds clothing store

4:30pm - kids fairly agreeable, heard them both back into the car, drive home

4:45pm - heard kids into house. see cars next door, wonder if those kids were finally able to buy our neighbors house. nice kids. 90-something degrees, yuck. step out of jeans into stretchy pants, turn on misters, give otter pops to kids, squirt kids with hose

5pm - wonder in circles. too hot to do anything. let kids cry, email jana pix, failed delivery, grrr, tend to crying kids.

5:30pm - attempt at loading dishwasher. too hot. sit down. tired from the day.

6:00pm - update budget, play with kids, contemplate doing anything productive, watch video of James' birth with MP on my lap, check blog, facebook.

6:30pm - reheat mac n cheese for MP, throw jelly on bread for James with a hot dog. both get strawberries. MP throws on floor.

6:45pm - realize it's VT night, wrap up zucchini bread for girls, back into jeans, and hippy but comfy sandals, scream out the door "NO DINNER" to michael, hair desheveled from MP pulling at it, make up almost gone from today's wear and tear.

8:30pm - get home, taco bell for dinner again, brush MP's teeth, spend time cuddling with her, put to bed.

9pm - make James brush his teeth, take medicine for ear infection, plop back in front of peter pan and say 5 more minutes, take out contacts, eyes burning.

9:30pm - James in bed, spend time with hubby, read P&P- it's finally getting good and juicy but still only comprehending 30% of what I'm reading.

10pm - lights out, time to do it all again tomorrow.

That my folks is a typical thursday at work. Seems like something always comes up in the evening and today I was particularly exhausted. I'm starting to feel the third trimester creeping up on me early. 13 more weeks until the real madness begins.
