He wants to be a macho man

At the grocery store tonight, James wanted to help me at check out. So I let him monkey climb off me to the cart down the side until he got to the ground. Soda was finally on sale again, so I bought 4 -12 packs and shoved them underneath the cart (Jana, it's not for me it's for Michael).

Well James thought he would help by pulling one out of the bottom of the cart and once he got it on the ground he put his little fingers in the carrying cutout and tried lifting it. And he struggled. So I lifted it for him. Blop. Right on the conveyor belt.

Then he pulled out the next one. He did this for each one. If I was too busy on top with the other food items he would grunt and scream and freak out until I helped him. I had to explain to him that little boys aren't strong enough to help yet but he will be once he's a big boy. I know he probably didn't know what I was saying, but it was pretty funny hearing myself talk to him like that. At least he pretended he understood.

Ah, my little James *insert tear*

:)

How cute - isn't it funny how boys are such boys even from the beginning?

That is sooo cute! It's amazing how children love to help -- and so young too. :)
