And ended today with this:
I will be glad when everything is completely done with the kids' room. I still need to get some walls shelves so I can put crayons and markers and all the stuff James likes to play with but needs a place where he can't get to them unless I give it to him. I'm also going to put up a chalk board under the shelves, which is right above his little table. So almost done --- but I think I've been saying that for a while now. But really. I'm almost done now. I just have to stay motivated to finish the crib sheet, paint the walls, add some wall decor and you know the rest.Yay! Can't wait until it's done!

Paint it orange! :) I'll come help if you need some. I love to paint! :)
Orange? Didn't think of that, what kind of orange???
I don't know. call me crazy but I like the blue as it is with the sheets. Don't they say never paint a bedroom red, because you can't ever fully relax because the red is so powerful?
I love tne nursery - glad I got to see it today, those fabrics are really cute! And everything looks so great together!
I like the blue and white how they are too; it could look cute to have their names on the walls above their cribs - like you show in the pic - but Jame's name in bright orange or green and Madison's name in bright pink or red. Between that and all the fun colors you have in their, the blue & white make for a nice backdrop to it all.
Or if you do pink and blue, maybe go super super subtle with your pink (looks that way in your nicely done photo shopped pic too) - that way the pink and blue aren't competing with each other (ooo, that sounds like an omen, like James & Madison competing with each other for attention - never!). Red increases appetite, romance, energy - so yeah, I don't think it's too relaxing like blue and green are. Good for restaurant walls though! Orange wouldn't be calming either but you might be able to find the right one that is toned down and not competing with the blue too much? Orange/blue - great pair - may be slightly more boyish than unisex.
So there's way more thought than you wanted (and didn't really ask for) about your colors!
Let me know if you need any help on the grunt work of it all :)
correction-- there, not 'their' --- yes, I couldn't let it go.
I guess a calming orange -- preferably one that you like from the fabric. I think you can still go with a lighter orange than the fabric because the shades should match. You can always accent the wall orange with a rug the same color.
I'm wondering why you have to keep the blue too? For James' side of the room? Orange & blue are complimentary colors on the color wheel. As long as the shades are similar, the orange and blue would match. When you go to the paint store, I'd take a sample of the fabric and of the blue paint.
I wish I knew how to make crib bedding. I couldn't find anything I liked when I had Parker. Everything out there is so cheesy. Yours is so cute!
