This summer I have had a sandal fetish. I'm ashamed to confess how many sandals I have bought this summer. All different colors and unique in their own way. These are the latest and one of my many favorites. They are actually more comfortable than I thought they would be.
And here is the belly update. I will be 32 weeks on Friday. 8 months. Half of it being long, hot, summery months. It wasn't my fault. We tried sooner to get pregnant but couldn't until I stopped nursing James. I still can't believe I nursed him for a year AND while working full-time. Looking back, I wonder what possessed me to get through the teething/biting and keep it up when he started refusing it at 9 months. Was I psycho?
Not going to answer that.
But as time starts ticking down, I'm already thinking about baby #3; I remember thinking the same thing after James was born. I'm eager to get the whole child birthing stage over with. It's really not my favorite thing. The slugging around 30+lbs, the uncomfortable nights, the hip shattering pain, the exhausted-ready-to-poop-out-any-minute feeling, the starving/food-coming-up extremes, the puking, the sausage toes/swollen ankles.... I needn't go on. But when they get to the stage James is at --- well, that's the best for me. The personality thing. Noticing his little quirks... what he does like me, and what he gets from Michael. It's truly the best.
Here's a little something from a year ago today to reminisce in the past.

I think that you are such a cute prego girl! you look great! And I did notice james hair on Sunday. It was awesome! Stay strong you have almost reached your mark! Good job!!
Serious? Baby #3? I can't even decide if I want another one, a year after having one. You go girl.
Wow! He was so little!! So cute! Cute cute cute!
Such a cute little picture! I love to watch my kids sleep.
Holy cow - you're 32 weeks? I didn't realize how far along you were! Hope I don't sound weird but I think you make such a cute pregnant lady. (seriously, I wish I could wear all the cute clothes you do on Sundays - ie the knee-length skirts & dresses - but as soon as I get pregnant my calves turn into tree trunks... ug!)
Funny but I've also been thinking about #3 too. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks like that. When I mentioned #3 to Larry a few weeks ago he thought I was crazy to even be thinking about it!
