Ipod Wars

I got an Ipod for Christmas. It was only a shuffle but it's what I wanted so I could solely upload dance music on it for running. I told Mike that I was too busy to figure it out all out - we got a new home computer and so software, downloading music, etc. Well I just didn't have time for all that.

Skip forward. Mike just did it this weekend. It took him 8 months.
First he blamed me because I didn't open the ipod. I didn't know I was supposed to open it. I thought that getting it all ready for me to push play was part of the Christmas package.
Opening it was on my list of things to do that I just never got around to doing... until about 4 months ago. Once I opened it I told him the ipod was ready for him to put songs on it. Then I would remind him again. And again until he was ready to do it but couldn't find the ipod. It was lost. So then we argued who did what with it and who should be the one looking for it. After much whining and complaining and stealing Mike's ipod (I got him one for his bday last year) there it was on the desk. Silver and beautiful and hooked up and music uploaded.
I'm grateful and irrititated.

That's funny. I have that same shuffle i-pod. I do like it that it's simple and small. However, now that I want it for other then just working out, it sucks you can't just play work out music, church music, etc. It kinda puts a damper on the mood when you are listening to a nice church song and then the next song is Metallica (marks music) or something :) So you might just be stealing your husbands again here soon!

This is why I bought Paul's iPod/Nano with 8gb (brand new/untouched) off of Craigslist -half the money for a lot more music ... and I definitely wasn't planning on setting it up for him (but technological stuff has never been my strong point) --- and now if I could just afford one for myself since he has it at work every day - that would be lovely, but I'll just keep dreaming.

You know what REALLY SUCKS is that I waited forever to open it and since it was a Christmas gift, I only had 15days to return it. A month after Christmas, they went on sale for about half the price. That's what stinks.

yeah, I was going to say that they are super cheap now. I got Joel an Ipod for Christmas too, but one of the big ones, refurbished because I'm a cheap-o. He never uses it either.
