So here's the awful truth:
Right off the bat, I get less than 70% of my paycheck.
7.1% - medical/dental
6% - 401k
0.6% - disability/insurance
the rest goes to taxes
Calculating every necessary bill now is 44% of my net. If I set away 30% like Shannon says, I'm still left w/26%. Doesn't sound like much, but it's very manageable for food, clothing, misc. This will be my biggest challenge for next month. Wish me luck!
Oh by the way... I hate taxes. I always feel robbed. Ridiculous.
