Let's be honest. Who doesn't?
I mean, admit it. We all visit Jana's blog at least twice a day to see if she's post a new post for the day.... and sometimes more if she hasn't updated it by noon. Sometimes I even feel like sending her a nasty comment telling her she's overdue and needs to keep me entertained.
I've noticed tho, the more I blog, the more I not only like it. I LOVE IT. I'm addicted. I usually type up my post late at night, which really irritates my spouse. He cries, why don't you spend time with me? I think, hmm, this is strange because when you lock yourself up in your room playing video games until the wee hours of the morning I don't say a word but yet the moment I log onto the computer it's a huffing and puffing, "what are you doing?"
I digress.
Going back to why I love blogging. You get a real hoot somedays finding out what your friends and family and occassionaly even strangers have to say. Who cares, Alisha, I don't even know you but I really think we could be sisters. Why? Because a) we both tend to have a snooty attitude (which i am secretly proud of) b) we both love to bake (you name it, i can make it and it will be delicious) and c) we have dark brown hair (i know totally random but it sounded better if there was a (c) and not just (a) and (b).
Again, I digress.
So my whole point today of posting was because I got reading glasses. Kiri, you inspired this post by the way so it will just be a reiteration of my comment on your blog. Which reading glasses, the way I see it is a sign of getting old.
I know some of you are thinking, big deal, who cares? Well, what if I told you that I already wear glasses? Contacts actually. I prefer contacts during the day and I'd rather be in my normal glasses at night. Yeah that's right. I put on my contacts in the morning and at work, I have to put on my reading glasses over the contacts when I'm on the computer and such.
Ok, now I know I have your pity. Which is why I'm feeling a little old. Oh for crying out loud, it's not like I need a walking cane or anything! Don't feel that bad. I'm only 27. That's probably another kicker. I'm no longer in my mid twenties. I'm officially in my late twenties.
I digress again.
Back to glasses. So I'm trying to embrace it. I purposely tilt my head down to the ground and push my glasses towards the tip of my nose when people stop by to talk to me. Or when in a meeting I look at my papers, talk, talk, talk. Then target the audience as I sincerely tilt my head down to the ground and push my glasses towards the tip of my nose and keep jabbering away. People sneer. Some heckle. Some even try not to notice but I see that little smirk creeping out from the corners of their mouths. Like I said, I'm embracing it.
It was either reading glasses in addition to my contacts or bifocals. You tell me which is worse. Sometimes I think, God gave me such pretty eyes. Too bad they don't work very good.
But again, I digress...

You and Alisha may be fighting sisters. She's a strong opinionated Democrat and you told me that you're a passionate Republican.
And reading glasses on top of contacts? Is that even legal?
Oh, Bianca! You crack me up! I love how you write! I can hear your voice as you tell the sad story of glasses and contacts! I feel for you! :)
Because I've been in the same room with you, I can now officially post a comment on your blog without breaking any rules of blogging etiquette, but I confess: I've been stalking your blog since even before Jana's make-up 101 episode. Your "snooty" comments on everyone's blogs have had me quite intrigued. I wondered: Is she this snooty in person? Now I know.
