Surprise!

Last night James was being... well, James. He wouldn't go to sleep and was fussy. Must have been his teeth. So at 10pm I was done. I couldn't take any more of his crying so I dropped him off in his crib. Then I started picking up and doing a few chores before bed. Out of the corner of my eye this is what I saw in the nursery:

Somehow, James climbed up the rail and was hanging over it. "OH MY GOSH, MICHAEL COME LOOK, QUICK. NOW!" is what I remember saying.

When did he learn this? How did he learn it? And where'd my little baby go?

Definitely going to finish de-cluttering the house this weekend. Definitely.

Sooooo, onto other news now that I've got the camera out. This is what I finished a couple of weekends ago. It's a nursing cover. I just copied the pattern from my Bebe au Lait. But I need to personalize it and make it my own, as Jana said. So I'm taking suggestions. What would you like to see? Pockets? Bigger terry cloth for spit up? I'm all ears. How can I make it better?

Oh he looks so devilish with that little grin on his face, he is up to no good! Okay, your sewing talent is quite amazing! I have the same kind of nursing cover you do, I wish it had bigger terry cloth corners and the pocket on cover are tiny... Are you going to sell those, let me know because I love that fabric and my cover has become all ratty-like, I need a new one.

I just thought of something else, sometimes I wish it was a little wider, especially when the kiddos start getting older and fiesty like, it's sometimes a fight to stay covered!

I love that pic of James, so impish, like he knows he's naughty. I remember when I caught little Talia standing in her crib for the first time, it scared me to death.

REALLY cute nurser.

He is so cute. It was fun seeing you guys the other night, I can't believe he's only a couple months older than Luc, is this what's coming?

Love the nurser. I don't have one so I have no suggestions. Apparently I'm way out of it since I still just throw a blanket over him and hope he doesn't pull it off at the wrong time.

Nice tongue, James, I love it.

Your fabric rocks. I didn't nurse long enough to have any "practical" suggestions for something like that. I always wished they just had some kind of a tent I could hide under. I'm not very coordinated.
