So last night, Breanne and I teamed together and hosted a make-up night for the girls. It was a mix of crying, needy babies and a bunch of hags who needed advice. Of course I would never call you a hag, don't you remember Breanne said it? I'm just saying...
I was quite dissapointed as I didn't know some people needed a pre-requisite called something like Facial Anatomy 101. Didn't your mamma tell you where your eyelid was? *AHEM, Marie*
I guess I was a little dissapointed in what people normally keep in their make-up bags. Hmm, that gives me and idea for another segment. "Bring your bags and we will rummage and plunge through them, give you a nasty lecture and tell you what your doing wrong." Yeah, I like the sound of that.
I will say however, that if you can afford it, the more expensive make-up is definitely worth it. I (and I know some of you too) can really tell the difference between a cheapy foundation/concealer/eyeliner than one you buy at the makeup counter. Even if you set $5 aside every month, you can still get a decent item every quarter. So at the end of the year you will have 4 good products. It will take longer to go through them too. Since you can try it before you buy it, you're more likely to wear it.
Keep in mind also, that you build into your makeup collection just like you build into your food storage. Do you think Marie bought 30 jars of spaghetti all at once? I don't think so! She buys a little at a time and then BAM! It's like, where did the 50 jars come from all of a sudden?
Ok, I'm done lecturing. My fingers are tired from last night and are starting to fail me. I think all in all it was a good night. We laughed, we cried (I'm sure I poked someone's eye a few times - Marie, that is the colored round thing and you have two of them), we ate (some people ate all the watermelon - oink, oink, Denise). And even if you just came to observe at least you know the potential that makeup can have. Makeup can be very natural and light and look like you're not wearing any at all.

I would like to add a big, humongous thank you to Breanne for hosting this at her house, it was really nice of her to make us all feel comfortable in such a warm, intimate atmosphere. Thanks again!

Thanks for a fun night Bianca! You and Breanne did a fabulous job and realized just how much help I need :)
Word to all y'all!
It was a great night! Thanks so much for all the work you guys put into it! Wish I could have lasted longer, but was a little too tired. Thanks! :)
It's not my fault that after the "birds and the bees" talk, I never asked my mom about any body part again. (including my eye-lids which I'm apparently supposed to foundation-up before I shadow.)Just kidding. You were very patient with me, thanks.
You're hilarious! I love reading your blog! I just wish I could come to your makeup segments--I could use some help myself! Although you may be pleased to know, since reading about your blog I've started to wear eyeliner (on Sundays, the only day I wear makeup) :)
