Today in church I had a clip art of a fish for my class. We were making thank you cards and I had bought a cool new set of twistable coloring pencils, which I have to say are so awesome! No more sharpening!
Anyway, the clip art was a black and white outline and the rest of my pictures were in color. Mike offered to color it for me so I handed him my new coloring pencils. 5 minutes later, holy cow! I didn't know that he could "color".
There were like three or four different colors on the fish and it looked way cool, like the fins were textured or something.
I guess I shouldn't have been too surprised because of the following facts:
a) he's always had an eye for "things"
b) he lets me know if my outfit is terrible or cute
c) if I cried, "I have nothing to wear for church" he would pick out an outfit for me (and it always looked good)
d) he pre-approves shoes to go w/my outfits
e) always has an input on the way I decorate the house
f) I can not buy furniture w/o his approval
g) is always able to mix and match his clothes so it looks modern and put together (especially for work)
h) he notices details, i.e. a new peice of jewelry never gets by him, neither does clothes, shoes, etc. etc.
His mom says that he is exactly like his Uncle Jack. Who was gay.
Hmmm.... I won't worry until he starts plucking his eyebrows or starts giving me makeup advice.

Hilarious. Does he know about Uncle Jack? I'll have to read this to Art.
That's so funny and I'm with Jana I was just about to call Seth in to read this. I have a new appreciation for Mike. I always thought he was just good at cars and video games. Does this make him metrosexual?
YES. He is sooooo metro... Even his mom says so!
Definitely a metro guy. He's probably not afraid to wear pink either.
Haha! This will be like my 'Mancrush' post (wow - back in the day when I actually thought of funny, interesting posts) - watch out, he may get razzed big time and then you will .... well, actually, you'll probably love it, he needs a little razzing. ;)
(It kinda stinks when they notice a new pair of shoes or jewelry, etc. that you were hoping they wouldn't notice don't you think?)
love it! I can't complain when I too say I have nothing to wear and Mark finds something that totally looks good. I've just always kept it a secret :) Does Mike read your blog??
I should also mention that he is not ashamed of metosexual-ness. He calls it good taste.
And yes, he does wear pink! Just not purple because purple is ghey.
Mike the Elders Quorum will be shocked to hear these allegations, would you prefer to start meeting with the Relief Society? I suspected something was awry when Mike gave his last EQ lesson and set up a display of flowers and a lace tablecloth. - ART
Maybe Mike should do a little class for all our fahionably challenged men in our lives...
Well that is my boy. Art and design runs in the family. B, you will always look fab, even when he was little, he would help me pick my shoes and earings...Sorry about the observant part tho, he again was always like that, and was a tattle tale to boot, could never get anything past him! But he is ALL MAN! You're lucky he changes diapers, b/c his dad never did! xoxo ya
Thats my son with the artistic talent and eye. He does have an "eye", actually I made him with two! His great grandfather Yoshimura was a graphic artist and his grand ma is a talented painter. On the West side, design is in the blood, but my son is ALL MAN!! B, you will always look fab and the house will rock. Sorry about the observant part tho, can't sneak anything. This worked against me too, as he was a tattle tale to his dad!!! xoxo
"Was a little tattle tale?"
HE STILL IS!!!!!!!
Have you noticed he says, "Nice EARRING mom, WHEN did YOU get THOSE?!?"
EARRINGS, you have two one in each ear.... didn't want anyone to think you had a nose ring or something.
